Anthology Theatre receives Culture Recovery Fund grant

Anthology Theatre is thrilled and grateful to receive £207,906 as part of the Government’s £1.57 billion Culture Recovery Fund (CRF) to support UK arts organisations post-COVID and ensure its sustainable future.

Executive Producer, Lil Lambley comments, “We are overwhelmingly grateful and indebted to the Arts Council for distributing this grant. The CRF grant will aid Anthology Theatre in retaining its staff to develop projects, commission new works, and help lead the charge on the return to live theatre. Although there is still much work to be done to safeguard the industry, we look forward to supporting our esteemed partners in that process; actively working with numerous venues and organisations, and providing opportunities for the UK’s creative freelancers.”

Anthology Theatre is one of 588 cultural and creative organisations across the country receiving urgently needed support – with £76 million of investment announced today. This follows £257 million awarded earlier in the week to 1,385 organisations, also from the Culture Recovery Fund grants programme being administered by Arts Council England on behalf of the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. Further rounds of funding in the cultural and heritage sector are due to be announced over the coming weeks.
